Excess forward purchase contracts, with customary time limits, may be covered by a sale of francs to the Banque de l'Indo Chine to mature at the approximate due dates of the purchase contracts. It will not, however, be necessary immediately to cover a purchase by a corresponding sale to the Banque de l'Indo Chine.
As regards the present position of banks, it will be open to a bank on introduction of the scheme to govern at once with the Banque de l'Indo Chine or to leave the position open for future adjustment.
As the communication from the Banque de l'Indo Chine is strictly confidential, it is assumed that no attempt will be made to take any unfair advantage which this information may provide.
